Seattle & Vancouver

Day 1 of our trip, we're on the Monorail in Seattle to go to the Space Needle!

Glass Museum! These flowers were made of glass. Absolutely beautiful at night.

The area surrounding the Space Needle is packed with sculptures.

This building reminds me of the Bilbao Expo building. Its colors were absolutely beautiful. Inside is the EMP Music- Sci-Fi and Pop Culture Museum

First of the many totem poles we will see during this trip.

Here is that awesome EMP building again....

EMP Music Museum hosting Jimmy Hendrix in London en Nirvana! My luck!!

Beautiful wall of rusty metal rods sticking out from the ground It was beautiful!

Strolling around the park surrounding the Space Needle, Seattle

Seattle's most famous "Childrens" fountain

A Gay Pride festival took place on the day we were here. Great music! Set up for the party at night.

I wanted to take a picture of this column of guitars, and by walking over I accidentally walked in through the Museum's exit! So here I am, walking in opposite direction of paying guests.... It brought me a number of wonderful pictures of both Jimmy Hendrix' old outfits and Nirvana's smashed guitar and drumset! See below.

Just my luck! Whoop whoop!

Especially for you Denise de Vetten! ...: Nirvana's drum set

Curt Cobain

Curt Cobains guitar! Awesome.

Here it is! The guitar Curt Cobain smashed. In pieces. :)

I had bought a huge bottle of Bloody Mary Mix (non-alcoholic) in the afternoon. On the Space Needle I got a cup of ice and we shared a drink. Soon people around us thought we were drinking a Bloody Mary in public. We took that assumption a little further at the MonoRail station.... See below:

The people behind me thought I was drinking in public. Instead of correcting that perception, we played into it by taking these pictures. LOL Hair all messed up. It was hilarious!

"I'm really not drinking alcohol in public, Mr. Officer! Hello? Are you still there?"

Space Needle at night. Absolutely beautiful.

Would you believe that this cactus is entirely made of glass?
